Tom Petty June 6th at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood with Bluzdude. Then nothing until Boz Scaggs in September. But they're building a new ampitheatre on the waterfront in San Francisco for the America's Cup. Hoping to catch a few shows there this summer.

It could be worse. He added two shows at a stadium in Kilkenny at the end of the tour on July 27 & 28. (Population - 25,000. Stadium capacity - 25,000!). I've never missed a Springsteen show on Irish soil (the Belfast show will be something like the 24th) and it was always my intention that I never would, but I had to apply a bit of common sense for once and say 'enough'. It's just too many shows in a short period of time to be affordable.  It's killing me, too...LOL

Spent most of my available money, prior to the Stones announcing their tour, to go to Ireland to see Bruce (Limerick, Cork, Belfast).  Plane ticket was bought -oh and a pretty penny for that-prior to the Stones announcement of Hyde Park. To say I was pissed when I heard it.... See the Mumford and Sons in Dublin prior to hitting the tour road.  Should be a fun filled trip - right Gazza?!!

Only other "at home" shows:

Avett Brothers
Jackson Browne
Americanarama-Wilco, My Morning Jacket, and Dylan

Dan is your "job" concert attendee?!!

May 25 ~ Motley Crue, Taj Mahal, Atlantic City (will scalp a ticket)
June 8 ~ Billy Idol, House of Blues, Atlantic City (will scalp a ticket)
June 12 ~ The Rolling Stones, Boston
June 14 ~ The Rolling Stones, Boston
June 18 ~ The Rolling Stones, Philly
June 19 ~ The Glimmer Twins (Tribute Band) Philly
June 21 ~ The Rolling Stones, Philly
June 29 ~ The Doobie Brothers, Caesars, AC (scalping again)
July 6 ~ Cyndi Lauper, Taj Mahal, AC (scalp)
July 19 ~ Steely Dan, Revel, AC (scalp)
July 20 ~ Alice Cooper, House of Blues, AC (scalp)
July 26 ~ Dark Star Orchestra, House of Blues, AC (scalp)
August 10 ~ Frampton & BB King ~ Taj Mahal, AC (Scalp)
possibly Journey, Diana Ross, Donny & Marie, LOL.

In AC I show up 10 minutes before showtime, offering $20 - $35. Sometimes I can get in free because people are comped tickets that they don't want. Last time I went to House of Blues I waited at the comp pick-up window and when I saw 1 or 2 people opening up an envelope of 4 tickets I asked them if they were using all of them. One guy gave me a pair and I only needed one, so I sold the extra ticket for $35 and I actually made money! I only do this in AC because I live nearby and there are always extra tickets for everything, lots of scalpers and very few buyers. The trick is waiting until the end when everybody is inside already and several tickets are still floating around. At that point they are happy to get rid of the ticket for any price rather than eating it. The only time I had to pay $75 was for Aerosmith because the ticket was expensive and I really wanted to go Ovation Hall in the new casino Revel which holds only 5000 people, and it was really nice inside and well worth $75. I rarely pay face except when it comes to The Stones, I bite it.
