Dreams come true people. I started off fully prepared to skip this tour after the dates and ticket prices were announced. Got some pressure from some friends who'd never seen them to get in on the Citicard pre-sale for Oakland. Ok,fine. Then they announced the $85 special. Well that's an interesting concept. So got a pair for San Jose. Oakland was fun and nice. Went with a bunch of people who had not seen them before. So tonight I go with my concert vet buddy. We get to San Jose about 8. Fully prepared to have nosebleeds after a friend of mine who was already in said that's where they were. So we walk up to the special will call table. Walk right up. No waiting. Show my ID. They hand me an envelope. I give the envelope to my buddy because I couldn't handle the pressure of knowing where our tickets were. Before he can open them. They ask for them back. I'm like no, you can't take our upgrade away and give us NB's. They tell us to follow some guy over to the side and he tells us the tickets are bogus and because of it we'll be upgraded to the pit. Unbelieveable. The arena looked pretty full. But the pit was only 1/2 to 3/4 full. We moved around at will in the back. Good show. Much improved setlist. Got NO EXPECTATIONS. Almost cried.............Sometimes karma doesn't suck.

I think the staff just said that, knowing they could move him into the pit. sounds like the staff spotted a deserving fan, not a tourist. So, they just used that term, that's my guess...

Yeah,everything happened so fast and so bizarre. I'm not sure if he was just fucking with us or what.He took the tickets. Put an X on the back of both of them. Handed us our Pit wristbands and gave us back the tickets which said GA Pit anyway.

While the term "bogus" used to mean only "fake, phony, counterfeit", it has come to mean "crummy, lousy, no good"; I suspect it was being used in this newer sense.
