Is Mick Jagger too proud (and selfish and greedy) to let this happen?  If so, that sucks.

It's truly bizarre.

I think it's a case of Mick wanting to play it safe, which is odd for someone who claims to be creatively restless. The guy needs to produce movies and work with the likes of Joss Stone to feel "vital" — and yet when he's with the Stones, he's by-the-numbers.

There's this insanely rich back catalog of songs staring him in the face, waiting to be rediscovered. But he'd rather sing the same goddamn songs, with a few merciful exceptions, every night. And Mick Taylor plays on the same goddamn song, every night.

The man is an enigma, and not in a good way.

As y'all know from my posts, I have a love/hate relationship with The Stones.

They suck as musicians (Ronnie and Keith....capable of playing mind blowing live shows), Mick J. is a better guitarist then Keith these days. For the life of me, I'll never understand how they can turn out FANTASTIC albums, yet, their live shows can be good to downright shitty.

They KNOW Taylor is light years beyond what they can do live. The Rolling Stones stopped being a band in the 80's and traded it in for being a corporation.

Their musical catalougue  is second to none. They can go out there and in theory, play at least 5 shows without repeating a song. That's how deep their catalougue is. Yet they choose to do the same boring shit year after year.

It's really a shame.

Mick Taylor should be up there the entire show. But we know Jagger is a little bitch that has to have 100% control. God forbid someone with more talent should be onstage with them for more than two songs.

If they really wanted to go out in style, Bill and Mick T should've been on this entire tour for every song.
