Today I got an email from the O2 announcing ROLLING STONES tickets to Hyde Park, so I clicked on the link just to see if I can get a ticket (even though I cant afford the airfare), and I was shocked when a ticket came up available at 71GBP. BUT when I looked closer it was NOT for the RS date it was for the Bon Jovi date July 5! Classic bait and switch advertising!

Thats definitely put the kibosh on my musical wankfest for that weekend. definitely not going now!

I'd actually read yesterday that he was just missing a couple of weeks of shows in May...things must have taken a new twist.

I would have thought he would be pretty much an indispensable part of that band - no? Surprised they'd do shows without him. As much as I cant stand them, I hope its nothing serious.

On a slightly more disturbing note, I see the Barclaycard presale for the Stones at Hyde Park sold out pretty quickly yesterday, but what they DO have available is a special ticket package for BOTH Bon Jovi and Stones shows on 5th and 6th July, called, wait for it, THE KINGS OF ROCK PACKAGE

He likes to party! I read it was BJ's wife that convinced him to turf him out for the time being. And regarding BJ, i only realised about 2 yrs ago they have no official bass player. What happened there? Not that i really care.

Just for the record, Phil X, the guy who will replace Richie Sambora for that tour did that before when RS was in rehab.
He is a hell of a guitarplayer and a fun to watch.
In case anybody is interested you should watch some of his vids he does for Fretted Americana.
