"Leaving rehab in Phoenix, Arizona, Gazza flew back to England last week after a 28-day ‘high intensity’ detox at the £6,000-a-week clinic."

Jeez Gazza, y'all right?

I always get confused between regular ol' detox and that new fangled "high intensity" stuff.

Which one is where they blow oatmeal up in places to get the evil out??
Don't know if I could deal with that.
Some people are fine with that, of course...

Or is the high intensity stuff worse?

You may be clean, but you may also be a small FM radio station.

Whatever happended to the regular ol' detox where they just really force you to hide the bottle well, and try to get you all religious...that ain't so bad.

Well I hope things are going better now that you've cleaned up.

Gazza relives 'night of madness' as he tried to help Raoul Moat

Gateshead-born football legend Paul Gascoigne has spoken about the moment he turned up in Rothbury, just hours before the fugitive killer, who had been on the run for seven days shot himself.

Alcoholic, Gazza, who has just returned to Tyneside after spending  five weeks in a US rehab clinic, said he had been convinced he knew former bouncer Moat, 37, and wanted to help him.

But he now knows his actions on that July 2010 night were  just another example of the drunken madness that almost cost him his life.

Gazza, 45, said:  “I don’t know what the f*** I was doing. A f****** fishing rod and a chicken? What was that about?

“Fishing has helped me when I’ve been in a bad place and I must have thought it’d be the same for him.”

Moat had been tracked down in Rothbury a week after shooting his ex Samantha Stobbart and murdering her boyfriend Chris Brown.   Gazza said he did not realise he had also shot traffic cop PC Rathband in the face 24 hours later.  He continued: “I’d been drinking and saw the Moat story flash up on the news. Without thinking I decided I needed to go and help him.

“I’ve brought him a fishing rod, some chicken and a six-pack and got in the back of a taxi with it all.

“I thought, ‘Moaty won’t shoot me, I’m good friends with him’. I thought I knew him, but I’d been drinking.”

“I told the taxi driver where to go and when he saw the Rothbury sign he looked at me and said, ‘I hope we’re not going where I think we are’? When we got there I got out and said, ‘Stay here, I’ll be back in a minute’. But as soon as I got out, the driver spun the car around and sped off.”

Boozed-up Gazza, from Dunston, told cops at the security cordon: “He’s willing to give in now. I just want to give him some therapy and say, ‘Come on, Moaty, it’s Gazza’.”

Moat, from Fenham, Newcastle, died after a stand-off with police.

During our brief blackout, there was quite a bump in offline productivity for RO's most active members.

Thanks, Voo and Gazza for all you do to bring this band of knuckleheads together.

We're working hard on this "Holy weekend" to set it up, if we can't we're going to put the November back up and create a new "2013" model message board, other option is to open the message board right here in a new forum

Marcelo is also working in Buenos Aires with external experts

Does this mean we might have to re-register for a new forum ?

I've been working hard to boost my post count, and it is one of my lifelong goals to achieve "I have no life !" status.
