The album is very good. I've been listening to it all weekend. It's fun and sounds great - but doesn't touch the magic of his recordings released while he was alive.

After listening to the album only one time, I give it an 8/10. It's a solid Jimi album. There are no "holy shit this is outstanding" songs, but they are all pretty good.

Janie is not even Hendrix's Sister, she was adopted by his Father, but now she runs his estate, she's like a female Allen Klein, she just in it for the money, Jimi once met her once for half an hour.
Al adopted her long after Jimi Left home. She admitted under oath she met him once for under an hour. Her real name is Genevieve Jenka. She changed it. She has cut Jimi's real brother Leon out of Jimi's legacy. There is not a single personworking at Authentic Hendrix related to Jimi Hendrix or who even knew him when he was alive. Don't believe me. Google it. Start with the Seattle Weekly.www.kisw.com/Jimi-Hendrix-Park/11281380?pid=263397.. www.kisw.com/Jimi-Hendrix-Park/11281380?pid=263397 Anything coming from her is all for the $$$$$ don't think that this will ever be the last recording, Voodoo doesn't like her, he once had a video of the Stones backstage in '69 with Hendrix (you know Jimi playing Keith's guitar) Voodoo will tell you the story. |

That makes her Jimi's sister...end of story...everything else you say may indeed be accurate...but the fact stands that she IS Jimi's sister. Adoption is NOT an exclusion clause...it is the opposite...it is an INCLUSION clause... It would be the equivalent of saying your spouse is not related to you EDIT: Wasn't there a song posted on here recently...a "new"song of a sorts? Is it from this collection? |

if you collect Hendrix stuff at all then all this material is pretty common save for the reworked stuff. not bad but hardly inspired

Of all the releases since he died, only the BBC set did anything for me.

Well, she was the daughter of Al Hendrix' lover, they never married so is not a sister, not a step sister not anything she is not related with Jimi and she was not the one in Al's original will but in one done later she is a cunt-sister |

they released a winterland box last year. however due to incompetence and more likely greed it is a clusterfuck. instead of releasing all the six sets he played like they should have they didnt. of course these are widely available on bootleg and maybe someday when authentic hendrix wants another check the rest will come out in running order. they have turned the legacy of the Picasso of rock into a circus sideshow.... http://www.lanceta.es/jimi-hendrix/discs/The_Complete_Winterland_Reels.html |
