If The Stones/Stains are the masters of the musicological musings, Laurel & Hardy were, shirley, the masters of humourological musings, and I don't think the two are too dissimilar.
Splendid and delightful people. ![]() |

Laurel & Hardy were great, I'm also waiting for a film being made by a Comedian Fatty Arbuckle who's whole career was destroyed by a drunken week-end (this was the silent movie era) by the press, details here.

This one always cracks me up - 'The Two Tars' - pure wanton destruction
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ_JZBCkqvA And for our Italian friends , the same movie in 2 parts (its only 20 minutes) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iqk6WBrG98 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VupUkzonGJY and 'Battle of the Century' featuring one of the greatest ever pie-fights : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlIXByXcUHw |

Thanks Gazza for the 2 short films, it has made the same to me also :)!!
I see theirs last live appereance in 1956.. and is .. make me sad. Then the couple had recieved an Honorary Oscar from Danny Kay.. too late. Not make the will to post abything else about them. Bu very happy that they had done all those funny and goofy things for us. Think, 80 years later. A plenty of time dont? And we're still here to laugh. A good thing. xo LH aka L |

Henry Miller (not to be confused with a brand of beer or with Arthur Miller said, I think, that one of these guys' film (one which I ended in an epic pie fight) was the greatest film ever made.
But I don't mind. I haven't seen that film (apparently it is lost forever); plus I don't trust beers or people who went to bed with Marilyn Monroe. I don't trust nobody. But I do love Stan & Laurel. |
