I'm really bad at giving sad news and additionaly I'm in shock, don't know how to start but Luxury passed away by pancreatic cancer last Friday, February 1, 2013

I met her in NYC/NJ eleven years ago, she was a really funny and great person

OMG. This is terrible. Horrible news.
I had a feeling something was wrong when we didn't hear about she and Throbby attending the shows in Dec.

My deepest condolences to her children and to her beloved Eric.

hard to believe such a beautiful, vibrant healthy looking woman could pass so young.

I really enjoyed her company in New York in 2002 and 2006, on the latter occasion with Eric (Throbby) and her brother Vinny.

I didn't know her but it really is awful to hear something like this and especially, judging from the pictures, so young. My thoughts are with her loved ones. Cancer is a horrible disease and I hope she is at peace now.

Yes, this was a meet & greet after Jimmy Fallon in May of '10.  Myself with the Exile shirt in the back, with my buddy Erron to my right, the others have been noted.  We had driinks, apps, and of course a Wicked Pissah time, because being with Luxy & Throbby was always a Wicked Pissah time!

Oh no. That's awful to hear. Luxury was always so nice and fun. AS if I needed any more bad news today. So sad. RIP Dear Sweet Luxy. :'(

Oh my, this is so sad.....:( I didn't know Daryl, but I've for sure seen some of these pix before. We have suffered many losses in the Stones fans family in the last few years....:( RIP, Luxy....

pancreatic cancer is a death sentence, and a quick one at that. if only we valued spending our tax dollars on science and research - we might make inroads in the war against that dreaded disease.

What a sweet, generous, lovely person. I had the pleasure of meeting Luxy and Throbby in Hershey, and I think in NYC once too. Like everyone here, I thought they were the nicest people I'd ever met.

Somewhere in the old archives was a photo of the whole gang of us in Hershey in 2005. I guess it's gone now.

So sad.

This goes in the category of completely unbelievable news. It's insane.
I don't know whether life is this row of repeated shit with short glimpses of fun, or there's a streak of extreme bad luck and death lately. I just don't know.

Wow this news comes as a shock, I didnt know she was ill. I feel bad that we didnt have a clue about her illness but I guess some people like to keep things like this private. She was a true MICK chick, I will miss her posts. I met her in NJ and NY, very sweet and fun loving person, much too young to die. I feel so bad for Throbby, he loved her dearly, there was a strong bond between them and this is going to be very hard on him. Throbby, if you are reading this, please dont isolate yourself, come out and see your Stones friends. A smile relieves a heart that grieves.

Never had the privledge of meeting her but mourn her loss as a friend to all here....Lost my brother in law to this same disease a fews years back and this brings back such sad memories. My best wishes to her family and friends......

This is terrible, terrible, news.  This was one fun loving Stones gal that I had the pleasure to meet on several occasions.  Eric, my thoughts and prayers are with you as I know this has hit you hard.  As someone posted above, when you are ready, we would live to see you again and provide support as you work your way through this sad time.

I'm gutted. She was such a wonderful person. Met her at YOTI, Stout, and a couple of Giants Stadium shows. I fondly remember  meeting her and Eric for the 2nd time at Giants in '05 the picture in this thread. Horrible picture of me, but her and Throbby were always the most photogenic of the RO crew anyway. They were passing a bottle of good white wine and I immediately tagged them the Expensive Winos. Seemed rather appropriate given the circumstances. I also look back with laughter as Eric, Daryl, and I watched our friend Lady Jane take four glasses of champagne and strawberries from a server in the Garden. Paula thought they were complimentary. We laughed as we watched her reach for her purse to pay after being told that nothing's free in NYC. She was such a force of energy and good vibes. In fact if not for Luxury my wife would not have ever seen the Stones. She and Eric sold us a pair of tickets to the 2006 Giants show. I am so saddened by this news. Rest in peace Daryl. You will be missed by many. God bless Eric and her kids. Hang in there Throbby. Prayers sent.

she was pure to joy to everyone she met… I remember being blown away by her energy and beauty too… I think I told her both her and Throbby were just to good looking to be standing near… this is such a bummer.

Everyone at RO and Shidoobee, thank you for your kindness and your love.  Daryl so enjoyed these boards and the friendships that were formed.

Daryl was full of life and love, touching all those who knew her.  Daryl was a great mom, raising two beautiful, caring sons.

She gave me life in so many ways.  Her love will live inside me always.

Eric, I had the unhappy task of telling Mary about Luxy when I went to see her in FL. She was absolutely devastated and we cried together. I hope that knowing so many share your grief brings you some comfort.

Just thought I'd give this a little bump as Daryl's anniversary was at the weekend.

She's still greatly missed by her friends here.

Our thoughts are still with Eric (Throbby) and her family.

1 year already...

Though having said that I'm sure for her 
friends & family it's been "ONLY a year".

As they say: time heals all wounds..,
only often you need much of it!

It's sad to see so many "young kids" go so early.
