Wasn't Johnny Depp making a movie about Keith? I remember seeing pics, anybody know what came of it.

I too was thinking about that just a few days ago and I really have my doubts that this
project will ever see the daylight.
Guess they had a lot of fun by Johnny fooling around with a camera and playing the director, Keith telling his infamous tales
and all that backed by some bottles of fine red wine.
Though I still hope that my guessing is wrong and they'll finally come up with something good.

Well, IMDB still has it listed as being in "post production". These things take a while.

I was looking forward to this one day.
I guess its a 'pet project' for old JD...if he's taking his lead from his subject nothing will happen fast...

Sounds like a very interesting project. But then again, "Live" didn't do any good contributions to get the Stones together again. It took some diplomatic sessions to get all of them in the same room again. I have a feeling bringing out this project, would make things more delicate. I guess even Keith realises that. Then again....all of this is based on my male intuition, wich didn't give me any fortune so far yet. All I hope the Stones are focussing themselves to make a last killer album right now. And hit the road for a short tour. And when the time is right I really hope this movie will see the light, it just doesn't feel like it's the right timing yet.

Maybe its an ongoing project because Johnny Depp was seen in the clip before the "50 Years & Counting" gigs, and I think he had a camera. I think he spoke on the clip too but I couldnt really hear anything except the roar of the crowd. Does anyone know if that clip's streaming somewhere? I remember thinking DEPP is following KEEF around like a puppy. But later someone said they made that video before the gigs began. Either way I'm sure DEPP would have to include the 50 Year thing in the documentary.

It was a documentary with musical performances. There has been no news since it was announced. You can be sure that if it ever does come out, you'll know about it. Consider it shelved.

Its just a way for Depp to keep things rolling with Keith.....more a home movie than someting worthy of public release perhaps.....
