Title: Interview with Bill - 30/1/13 Post by Rollin92 on Jan 30th, 2013 at 5:12am
Seems he enjoyed the reunion;
At 76 his shaggy hair is fully grey and his bold eyebrows and angular face softened. Sitting in the gallery's chilly basement he moves closer to the small radiator and often cups his hands around a mug of tea for warmth. He is fresh from performing live with the Stones for the first time in 22 years at the band's 50th-birthday celebrations in December, an experience he describes as "short and sweet, I suppose you could say", having consisted of just two songs. Talking of his "fantastic girls", three teenagers aged 18, 17 and 14, with his third wife Suzanne Accosta, his voice fills with pride. "[The 02 gig] was the first time they'd seen me play with the Stones, you know. They'd been to Stones shows before but never seen me on stage with them, so that was kind of nice. I did get some quite rousing applause when I went on." http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/bill-wyman-si-si-im-a-rock-star--but-im-a-photographer-too-8471753.html :nooslajaleisk |

Thanks. It was a great moment and for me a bit bizarre to have seen his three most recent Stones appearances (at the time) with a 22 year gap between the second and third one (I missed the 29.11.12 show though) (I was at the final two Steel Wheels shows at Wembley in 1990)
Then again, I think Sweet Virginia trumps everyone. I'm pretty sure she's the only fan on the planet to have attended all five of Mick Taylor's guest appearances with the band since he left them in 1974. Kansas City in 1981 plus the four London and Newark shows in December. |

The 25th Nov was my first ever show as much as I enjoyed Taylor's appearance I went there to see them play with Wyman. Underrated bass genius in my opinion. Sweet Virginia's record thats dedication!
