Title: Rare copy of Let It Bleed Post by KMC on Jan 3rd, 2013 at 9:28pm
This was just pictured in an auction on the Goldmine Mag website update that is emailed out.
(It's new to me anyway.) Caption said: A multicolored vinyl pressing of The Rolling Stones’ “Let It Bleed” album (London NPS-4, 1969, below) sold for $6,250. The rare-variant pressing originally was intended only for London Records executives; it is one of two copies known to exist. RollingStonesLetItBleed_RarePress_HA.jpg (Attachment deleted) |

I'm not a fan of colored vinyl. It never seems to sound good.

It is NOT mentioned on the official price guide by Jerry Osborne, and if the story above is true this is another gem for collectors, not just a collector's item

I reckon the rarest copy of Let It Bleed is probably the one which someone put up for sale on e-bay about three or four years ago.
It had been 'signed' by the entire band. Including Brian Jones. He was looking a couple of thousand dollars for it. There were a few bidders too. :wtf3 |

LOL I remember that one!
:spooky :spooky :spooky It was released in November and Brian passed away in July :aimama :aimama :forfucksake A lot of fake autograph sellers on e-bay, I don't give a fuck for an autograph, even direclty from the musician, I do prefer a picture or an e-mail, I don't see a value of an autograph if it was not dedicated to you |

I was outbid for it in the end. It would have had pride of place in my collection, alongside my signed copies of the 'Hendrix In The West' and John Lennon's 'Milk & Honey' LP's and a boxed set of Elvis CD's signed by The King himself.

Your blu ray may be worth more, but he signed my DVD at midnight in the middle of the Crossroads while we played guitar!
