Why? Why are you doing this? Just because he's your boss?

Try to see things from his perspective, being "in charge" isn't all it's cracked up to be.

One time, a long time ago, I got promoted, and for the first time in my life, I had to be somebody's boss. And, it was awful! I soon realized that I couldn't be their friend. So, I quit, and went back to my original position.

My youngest brother was an assistant manager at "*****". Anyways, he had to deal with a lot of irresponsible employees that sometimes didn't bother to show up for their shift, so he would have to desperately call in replacements. Many times, he would have to roll up his sleeves and do their job.

Then, his hours were awful. Most of us go to our job during the day, and then, we have our evenings free.

Not him, he would go to work early in the morning, and then back again late in the evening.

Plus, when he was off, he was on call 24/7. If there was a problem with the business, he was the one that would get the call and he would have to go and fix the problem.
