Title: You Can't Always Get What You Want (RN'R Circus)

First off
Anyone else prefer the Rock N' Roll Circus version of You Can't Always Get What You Want to the studio version?

Secondly, in the opening of the song, the opening guitar notes, it sounds like two guitars, one guitar playing off Keith's main rhythm very slightly...Could that be a tiny bit of Brian's playing peeking out in the intro?

I prefer the studio version, but They did a great version on that show, I think they played a few songs twice or even 3 times, & then they picked out the best version for the show, remember reading this in a book, I would have liked the rehearsal songs (they did Route 66) included on the DVD.
The Stones were really tired & stoned (common in those days) which is why they didn't release this for years, Brian looked right out of it (especially in the audience singing Salt of The earth)

I cant see what the fuss is about. The Stones performance was very good. They should have released it. Beats the shit out of Magical Mystery Tour.

But does anyone else agree they hear two electric guitars playing the opening intro (before Mick starts singing)? And perhaps a little chord here or there after he starts? Just makes me think Brian's playing was still a tiny bit audible in the released version.

I prefer the Let it Bleed version but love the embryonic live version on R&R Circus

Anyone think Brian plays on the intro at R&R Circus?

I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me. There are arguments that Brian's part in Honky Tonk Women couldn't be completely eradicated, and that there are times when 3 guitars can be heard......I think Brian played a beautiful and very soulful version of No Expectations in the R&R Circus, no matter how supposedly "out of it" he was....
