Title: Ticket question Post by Bingo on Dec 14th, 2012 at 7:43pm
Was it easy to buy tickets outside on Thursday? I heard Brooklyn was a hard ticket, what's your opinion for Saturday? What do you think....in for cheap or hard to get? I'm thinking of going by myself, so I don't care if it's the last row or first, I just want in and then roam wherever the wind takes me. You think $100-$150 will work from scalpers who may take a beating since it's on TV.
Thanks. |

IMO...( I was not there on Thursday)...if you have the cash...and the means for the trip ( if it is indeed a trip for you)...GO!!!
I have stopped buying tkts before a large show a long time ago...it takes some patience...and some luck...but have always scored a decent price and my butt was in a seat...actually I was standing and cheering...The only exception to this was PRINCE, last year...When he did his "Tour of the Carolinas"...I knew I HAD to be there... I mean, who else would name a tour like that?? And it was also a gift for my wife...so I scored 2 $20.00 tickets and got a free upgrade to the $100 dollar section at the show...luck was on my side that day!! GOOD LUCK...and report back to us...it is your last chance for a while and remotely, possibly your last...that alone should tell you to GO!!! ps...I was at all the DC shows, w/o buying in advance...since 94...scored a greeat 60 ticket for AC in 2007...and made it for the bomb threat at Charlottesville all w/o a ticket in hand in advance |

In my case...the cheap tickets sold out FAST...the 100 dollar seats did not move...BUT the 500 tickets FLEW...they tarped up the cheap seats and upgraded us to fill up the holes...in my case, i went from the corner nosebleeds to mid-ice and half way down... That is what I meant by upgrade...not some radio promo by writing 97 ROCK RULZ on my forehead...If there is any other type of upgrade, I don't know about it...I did read that GRRRegory the spe was "found"the other night and upgraded a few folks into the pit...again...some promo by some entity I think what others may mean by upgrade is that they shell out the big bucks later and sell off their cheaper seats...to get closer...on the floor...near B stage, etc |

I decided to stay home and watch it with the family. From reports I got, you could've got in for $100. I guess lots of folks did what I did, watch it on PPV.
Somehow, I got my PPV for free. I watched it, then the next morning I went to watch it again, I hit "record this event" Long story short, when I called my provider to tell them I couldn't find the recording, they said they had no record of me purchasing the event. :smilemick |
