I voted for Let It Bleed.
Wish they would show a running total of votes cast. |

Let It Bleed will be my choice too. Or maybe Around & Around.
Interesting to see a Chuck Berry song on the list. I guess that long-running royalty dispute is over. Then again, its got little chance of winning anyway so its probably irrelevant whether it is or not. Hope to God its not Far Away Eyes. Love the song, but that performance on 'Shine a Light' was a travesty and even the charming sight of Mick and Keith singing into one mic for the cameras couldnt redeem it. |

Title: Re: The return of the Stones setlist cybervote Post by LadyJane on Dec 12th, 2012 at 7:15am I'm torn between LIB and Street Fighting Man. Did they rehearse all of these songs or is this a big ruse to bring out Bruce for SFM. I'm going with LIB!! |

1977 at the El Mocambo. the Stones havent played a Chuck Berry song in concert since they played 'Little Queenie' in Istanbul in September 1998. As I mentioned on another thread, apparently they omitted the song from several of the broadcasts on that tour because of Chuck's demand for significantly higher performance royalties for televised shows. |

It'd be a pretty lame one in that case as he has already been announced as being on the bill. Then again, they have some previous form in this regard. "Waiting on a Friend" managed to win the cybervote at the PPV in St Louis in 1997 - which was quite fortunate as they just happened to have Josh Redman on hand to play the sax part on it. ::) 'Starfucker' had been ahead by some distance (mainly thanks to a bit of mischievous polling by fansites wanting to hear the word 'fucker' repeated on TV several times) but I guess Redman must have spammed the vote in the last few minutes while he was waiting backstage. |

My 2nd choice is any Chuck Berry song. I know they've been doing at least one in rehearsals.

If You Got Me Rocking wins we'll know the fix was in.
I'd be happy hearing any of those though. (Hating the current set list) |

I'm happy with whatever the Rolling Stones perform. I'm just glad people aren't bitching about these recent setlists being nothing but the big hits (war horses.)
I could listen to them do any song in their catalog and be happy. |

I think I'm gonna go for Beast of Burden ::)
Could the winning song, whichever it is, be the one Bruce comes out for? It would fit the bill: Gaga for GS, Black Keys for the bluesy number, and Bruce for this third special song |

I trust RO and the rest of the fan sites...I just don't trust THE WORLD with this vote...
SSC, Shattered, BoB...are the ones that will triumph... You Got Me Rockin ?!? WTF?!?! This song looked out of place in the rehearsal lists...look even more out of place on this list... |

Can we also vote for one or more of these songs to replace Miss You, IORR and HTW?

If Mick could promise to sing it in the right key, I'd have suggested it. He rarely does. |

Are we sure this is on the up and up? Or about as fair as a Florida election. I'd like any or all of those except YGMR or Shattered. Think I'll throw in a vote for SFM. If Bruce plays on that one. So much the better. :nomames

I voted for Around And Around because they haven't played it live in the longest period of time than any of the other songs listed I believe.

Something appears to be wrong with the link to the vote that I'm using...
No matter how many times I hit the refresh button, I still don't see "Dance Little Sister" as one of the options. |

Yup. Plus the middle breakdown part they've never got close to (another studio miracle) I'd go with "Rip This Joint" or "Let It Bleed". |
