Title: Midnight Rambler, Night 2

Much, much better tonight. Dude was relaxed, in the pocket, let Ronnie take a solo. I'm just so freakin happy about this:

Thanks, I've been waiting for that all day. He sounds like this after only 1 gig. Imagine what things would be like if he rehearsed with them and played more shows. He brings a level of sophistication to their sound that the Stones haven't had since he left. I'm not bashing Ronnie because I also love his playing and some of the other stuff he brings to the sound, but Mick Taylor plays these songs in the way they were supposed to be played and gives the band's sound a dimension they don't have without him. If Blondie was filling things in for all those tours, why can't they just put him back in and have 3 guitars. It won't happen but bloody hell they sound amazing. I also loved that Ronnie really nailed his solo. He's sounding better than he has in ages.

Mick T is on FIRE!
Having never seen Taylor play with the Stones live, I don't think I ever fully understood his brilliance.
This is the Stones of a different era.
Unbelievable and oh so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That'll do me.

What was the story with the final bows last night? Did they bring Taylor and Wyman out at the end for the 'full band' bow and then Taylor chose to remain but Bill didnt? Or did Bill just simply not get into the pic?

On night one, neither of them were onstage at the end.

Wasn't there (wish I were!) but at the end of the Satisfaction clip  it was clear both MT and BW were at the final 'thank uou; BW was walking around and waving at everybody, MT joined the bow'.......is this a sign for the future??.......It looks like all the 3 guitarists were really enjoying playing together during the Midnight Rambler (my favourite Stones anthem!)

Can we retire the Keith talking point that MT is not a "weaver"? At one point last night, the two of them were practically dancing with each other as they traded fills!

Here's howe I figure it:  My last name is Taylor, my handle is Brainbell Jangler--they've GOT to bring this show to the West Coast.

Keith says a lot that can be disregarded...

More defined lead guitar with Mick T in the band? Sure. Doesn't mean he couldn't add in some solid call and response licks. Who will join them on stage at Verizon Center???  ;)

Just bring on the Verizon Center show, and I'll be content!
