Glen759 called me an hour ago to tell me that according to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 this morning, the Stones will play a show at Wembley Arena this Thursday and a 'One Show' BBC TV special on Friday.

More details if and when we hear anything (or post the info yourself if you find out first)

God knows how they expect to fill a 11,000 seater venue at two days notice with no online sale, though. Very baffling.

For what its worth a few hours ago on their twitter page they posted the 1990 bow photo from Wembley, perhaps a hint

a "dosh on the door" scenario is the only way this could possibly happen.
...in which case (assuming prices are sensible), there will be a mini campsite taking shape by this lunchtime...
Does sounds far-fetched, (i'd have thought a warm up show at the Indigo2 was a shoe-in) :scary

Money on the door or free entry. No way could you ticket this as the place holds 11,000

Worth remembering too that Friday is the one day of the week where Evans sits in as the co-host of 'The One Show'.

a thursday annoucement about Wembley Stadium shows, next summer, would be my uneducated guess.

Other big acts are beginning to book the stadium for Summer 2013.
The Killers etc.

My info from a friend (thanks Declan) who is a Stones fan who used to work on 'The One Show' is that the band are 'being interviewed all day Thursday for broadcast on the show on the Friday. I think (Chris) Evans originally wanted it on weeks ago but evidently the differing schedules are only allowing it now. As for the gig - who knows?'

From that I'm guessing the interviews are being done from Wembley, as opposed to a show. Unless some songs are being filmed from the rehearsals.

Alex Jones just announced at the end of tonight's edition of 'The One Show' that the Stones will be the guests on Friday.

Chris Evans, Alex Jones and their guests....

The pic of Charlie is one of him aged 12 at one of his first performances, sent in by a childhood friend who Charlie remembered, saying they lived 'four doors away'. He had never seen the photo before but was instantly able to recall when it was taken and how old he was.

that was a live stream. The show ended almost two hours ago.
