Carnaby launch Rolling Stones Christmas

Carnaby have collaborated with The Rolling Stones for this year’s Christmas decorations which have been co-designed by the legendary Rock ‘n’ roll band.

The installation will launch on Thursday 8 November from 5.30pm on Carnaby Street, with a live countdown by rock chic DJ and presenter Goldierocks, a rock ‘n’ roll dance performance and DJ set. You can also get your hands on one of the limited edition Carnaby Rolling Stones canvas bags being given out on the night.

The stunning decorations will tell a visual story of the band’s creation in the 1960’s to the present day. The Rolling Stones pop up shop at 10 Carnaby Street will also be launching on the night selling limited edition apparel and prints.

Once the decorations launch has got you in the Christmas mood, come along to our rock 'n' roll themed Carnaby 20% Shopping Party on thursday 22 November.

Kinda late start for this yeah, eh ?

I remember visiting Harrod's in August, 2003 and they already had their Christmas stuff up then.  :nooslajaleisk

Wonder if they'll hike the prices up on their products compared to the website, wonder how much a t-shirt emblazened with that Gorilla will set folks back...

Its a new way to capitalize on the 50 Year Anniversary and its also inventive of them to think of new ways to make money for the holiday gift buying season. After 50 years they actually deserve to make money, so if anyone was thinking of buying me a gift, hint! hint! GRRR!

Can you please just go by it and give us a report of what they are offering? Only GRRR!! stuff or vintage, new stuff, vinyl, etc. I'm interested to see what they put together for the 50 year store.

Hi all.   I visited Carnaby Street on Saturday..   words fail me... its BRILLIANT... AMAZING.   The gold record sculptures are huge.. and very , very cool.   The whole street is a celebration of the Stones.  I have photographs , ill try and post later.    The GRRR pop up store is a bit underwhelming.. T-shirts , posters  (  kind of a warm up for the O2 shows i felt)..  but they were playing  Dancing with Mr. D,  which more than compensated.    I then popped into the Ronnie Wood exhibition at SymbolicLondon http://symboliclondon.com/contact/.. which is nuts.   Fantastic.  Lots of very rare Stones/ Faces stuff.

And when i got home my tickets for the O2  29th Nov had arrived.  Top day!

The street's nice, but the shop is indeed very underwhelming! The only good thing is that they play the stones LOUD!
