Thank you for the warm welcome. Emotional Rescue holds its own... Exile? Bought my first copy back in 73... still have it ( and the postcards) ... i also have a copy , signed back in the day by the whole band ( including Mick Taylor) that im rather fond of. Without doubt the most rock n roll album of all time.

This has actually been en exceptionally strong Stonesian month for me. My wife and i attended the premiere of Crossfire Hurricane in London ( our hometown). Stunning night. Probably the best Rock n Roll film iv ever seen. We were outside when the Stones the cinema arrived.. Keith was in such great form.. was laughing/ joking.. clearly very happy to be there. The film blew me away. Very special evening.

5) Dozen or more... first 1976 , Stafford, England. Knebworth was pretty cool. Best trip ? Vegas , MGM 2003.

6) I was at Waterstones book store in London , queuing to get six copies of Bill Wyman " Rolling with the Stones " signed ( family and friends)
They weighed a ton.. when i finally got to Bills desk he said " Man those look heavy ". I replied " They are .. but not as heavy as your opening riff on " Live with Me". I thought it was a pretty cool comeback , till it registered.. Keith played bass on " Live with Me". I now wish id said " Satisfaction , or something. I also have a touching story of queuing 13 hours to have Life signed by KR. which i will happily share.

as for KR... Id heard KR was going to make an appearance at Waterstones in Piccadilly to sign Life... i popped into the store to confirm this and the chap on the till said " Get there early". It was a work day ( 3 nov ?) So i turn up at the store at 6 am.. chilly morning.. and ... the queue was already pretty long. Clearly some fans had camped out overnight. So i join the queue and a security guard gave me a raffle ticket ( number 134)... then tells me the first 200 people would meet Keith in person , and get your book signed. BUT it meant i had to stay in the queue all day... which was a bit of a bugger as i was suited and booted for work. And i was EXPECTED at work. So i called my office ( which at the time was a major uk bank) and.. explained.. i may be a little late in.. by 9am i was TORN.... WORK or KR ? i was getting all kinds of " where the hell are you " texts... 11 am... by noon i was a dead man....Then..a miracle happened.. a client dropped by the queue, good friend, brought me a coffee and a sandwich.. he started a " Steves Progress " blog.. Soon my progress was being followed from London to NYC to Greenwich CT...it was incredible. A bunch of hedge funds got involved so all of a sudden .. it wasnt such a big deal to my bosses. 4pm... 5 PM... " hes in the lobby..." 6 pm.. " hes up the stairs...". 7pm im in the room. What to say ? Id had all day.
Crunch time. So im standing infront of my hero of 40 years. I was shaking. " Mr. Richards.." firm handshake ..." your music has been the soundtrack to my life. Thanks for all the turn -ons". I was rather pleased with the latter Mick Taylor reference. KR looked me in the eye and growled " That what its all about , man." Firm handshake. That was it , all over. I was let go from my job 2 months later, unrelated , wasnt bothered , hated the place. I wouldnt have missed that day for anything. I keep the book ( and the raffle ticket) in a rather jolly biscuit tin .
