Title: PPV show?
Post by StonesFan1990 on Oct 24th, 2012 at 9:18pm
Can someone fill me in? I see something in another thread about the 15th being available on PPV? What channels? On that day?

I ask because a PPV show is probably the only way I'll be able to see the Stones "live" this time around with the prices being so high...

No details have been released yet. Just speculation right now.

I found this today with tomorrow's 12 noon ticket sale announcement.

Tim Hincks, President of Endemol Group said: "We are extremely proud to be partnering with the world’s greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll band and with the Dainty Group. "50 and Counting" is set to be a phenomenal global celebration of the Rolling Stones and we’ll soon be announcing further plans to make it an interactive experience for fans like no other."
This partnership between Endemol and Dainty Group will see the final Stones show, staged at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on December 15, telecast live via pay-per-view at 9pm ET. The pay-per-view entitled “One More Shot” will be distributed by WWE, the world’s pre-eminent provider of pay-per-view programming. Further details of the partnership will be revealed shortly.

WWE Chairman/CEO Vince McMahon said: "WWE is ecstatic to bring The Rolling Stones into your living room, live on Pay-Per-View for "One More Shot," the last date of their 50th anniversary shows."

So, this guy is calling Dec. 15th the "final Stones show ?"

Anything to make of this or is this just some promoter hustling up viewership ?

What country do you live in?

Unless you're in North America, you wont get to see it as it happens.

Unless there's some 'illicit' webstream showing it for free!

I only have basic cable...will I have to upgrade and get a cable box to watch this?

Holden, it's Pay Per View. Think boxing. Think wrestling. I have basic cable as well.  Everyone in America who has cable should be able to order the concert the same as ordering wrestling and boxing.

Yea I don't get the pay per view channels. Looks like I'll have to call 'em and order it, then cancel after the three months of free HBO ends. hehehehe.

Bright House. But it's free; my apartment complex pays for it, I think. I get channels 2 to like 70.

Yep, that's basic all right.

I get about six million channels on my service, and only watch about four.
