Can you bypass the concession line, or get a discount if you use an AMEX card ?  :booze

" Can you bypass the concession line, or get a discount if you use an AMEX card ?  "

<  ------ At The Brand Spanking New 1.3 Billion Dollar Barclays Centre ( " The Rusty Turtle " ) you DEFINITELY need your AMEX Card in order to use the restrooms .

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444032404578010850014957238.html

"But the Barclays Center isn't going for a bohemian vibe—it wants to seduce you (and your wallet). The interior is black and muted; the signage is understated; its VIP accoutrements are abundant. This is the kind of arena that Bruce Wayne would bring a date. But Bruce Wayne better take the subway.  "

" Behind the counters, I peeked at some prices. A large domestic draft beer was listed at $9.50. A regular domestic draft beer was $7.50. A bottled water was $4.50. Something called a New York Artisan Jumbo Pretzel was $4.50. One wonders if employees will be walking through the Barclays Center shouting, "Get your New York Artisan Jumbo Pretzels! New York Artisan Jumbo Pretzels, heeeeere!" "

If you can afford the ticket, you can afford the beer.

In order to qualify to purchase a beer, you will need to purchase the Brussels Box, $853 ticket.
At that point, you will have the opportunity to purchase the special 2 beer Stones gift package for $300.
Included will be a collector's limited edition papercup, which will include a 23 digit code, which will allow for the mandatory download of a remix version of "Downtown Suzie" for the special price of $79.95.  Once the download has been verified, you will receive a text with the word "GRRR".  Use this code to sign up for the "new" Stones mobile service, where you will be offered a special one year "charter member" subscription for $99.  This will have a signature ring tone of the dulcimer instrumental version of "In Another Land".  Once this download has been received, proceed to the nearest concession stand & hand over your cup, play the ringtone to the attendant for 62.50 seconds & a fresh Coors Light beer will be yours.  State by state restrictions apply, read the label carefully for details.  Offer not valid for those from the Tri State area.  Those from Omaha are not eligible.  As always, drink responsibly.

Following is a message from the Pru. Center:

In light of recent ticket sales for the upcoming Rolling Stones shows. Alcohol will not be sold. The reasoning behind our decision is, if you bought your tickets and weren't drunk, we hate to see how you behave when you're drunk.

However, I've been recently updated:

Beer and alcohol will be sold but only in the $95 seats. We feel those people have acted responsibly and will not suffer for the actions of the many who lost their mind.

People who bought the expensive seats will not be allowed upstairs to drink under any circumstances. Those who try to get around our policy will be escorted to their limousines immediately.

Thank you,

MNGT of Pru Center.

Quantities will be limited as extremely high altitude magnifies the effects of alcohol.  :pullanolte

A 2-song pissbreak will cost most fans in London at least £40 and most US ticket buyers around $80.

The Stones have clearly missed a trick here. The option of paying an extra $20 for a piss-bottle or loan of a commode with every purchase would have seen them making a killing, especially considering the age of the audience.

The Prudential Center has an extensive variety of items with several concession stands and restaurants. All overpriced I'm sure. But available if you want it. With my high up seat location I better stay sober so I dont get dizzy!

Its going to take a lot of beer to wash down the fact that we needed an interactive twitter feed from a cartoon gorilla to tell us where and when we could pay $1800 for tickets
