Title: B STAGE THIS TIME ? (Updated with 02 SEATING PLAN)
Post by straycatuk on Oct 12th, 2012 at 4:33pm
Does anyone think that they will bother with a B stage for these dates. I think it was ruined by warhorses on the last tour. Route 66, Mannish Boy, Rooster, Little Queenie YES, but HTW,Miss you ? pleeeeeeeeeease NO !

Agree with you 100%

A gimmick thats been to done to death and its a total waste of effort when its used for warhorses.

Seriously - if people are within ten feet of the Rolling Stones and the Stones have to play Start Me Up and Satisfaction to get them worked up, what does that say about the audience?

For most people not near the b-stage its 20% of the show where the sound is shite and everything's going on behind you out of your line of vision. And when its an expensive ticket thats a long time to be looking at nothing and hearing hardly anything.

I like the B stage because it brings them closer and one of those B-Stage times at MSG MICK looked right at me, our eyes were locked, and I even remember what he was singing, and it seemed like he was singing it right to me. Crazy, huh? NOT! He really was singing it to me! I know it!
;)

Wish they would consider a stage in the round like Prince did on that last "tour"...the stage...sound...excitement...possibilities were almost endless!!

They have a giant tongue somewhere from the superbowl...though I think I heard they leased that from U2...or vice-verse...

and yes...those are tables w/ waitress service for your cocktails...price $500.00 for prince...all other ticket were 90 or 21 USDollars

Call me weird but when I buy a ticket I like to a) hear the music clearly and b) see the band

Unless you're in the position you found yourself in, its hard to do either - and from personal recollections, whilst the visuals at the b-stage are indeed very special, the sound is worse than it is anywhere else in the stadium/arena.

I know it's been done to death...and the sound isn't good...but if you have seats
anywhere on the floor and a little gumption, you've got a view of the band that's
actually worth the inflated ticket price for 3 songs. I saw the B-stage from ringside
at least 5 or 6 times and it was always incredible.

In Pittsburgh '99 I was right in front of Keith - Pierre handed him his Les Paul Jr,
he slung it over his shoulder, winked at me, and played the best version of
"Midnight Rambler" I've ever heard. And I'd love to have a chance to do that
again.

However, if they're going to use the moving stage from '05, they can skip it.
That thing sucked.

I always went right to the b-stage at the two general admission shows I saw. Man, seeing that band rocking right by me was incredible.

I've always dug the B stage.  I too have been lucky to have reconed the B for the songs each time I'm on the floor.
It is the excitment of the event, it's a good jolt to any show.
Doubt they will do it for this year's limited run
Leave it to them for something special along these lines if/when they have some type of tour next year
I really dug the Miami '94 PPV when they walked to the left, sat down & the stage moved into the crowd.
That was really special, as was that tour.

I was front row for the B stage with Got To Roll Me and Lady Jane in Atlantic City.  Needless to say it was something I'll never forget.  I vote for B stage.

I understand the arguments against it.

But measured against the memories of me standing in front of it.....the friends I shared that with....
No brainer....KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AC was special Steel Wheels! A great show. My last. FOR THE MOMENT.

An excellent photo you sent me well over a decade ago from the final bow of that show was subsequently framed and still hangs in my hall.

Cool..does indeed look tongue shaped.

I hope the £105 tickets will be that 'pit' area as a concession to fans

Its a small looking pit, though.

Appears to be four price levels then - either the pit or (probably) the areas in yellow will be the cheapest ones with Block A probably being the £450 seats.

Is that a mock up floor plan?

There is no info on the O2 site or TMUK site...

Its on the Ticketmaster UK site. If you look at the seating plans for the 02 and scroll down to where it says 'Stones'.

Looks very like a tongue-shaped stage a la the Superbowl gig with a small 'pit' area encircled.

I've got a shitload of American Beer posters for you but postage is so damn expensive. I'll bring a bunch to Vegas and give them to you in person
when you're there to see the band next year! :booze

I'll try to find a copy that I should have as a file but it'll take a bit of digging.
