I have heard from a source I believe to be reliable that there will be two shows to mark the 50th year. One is to be in London and the other in Paris. The shows will  be announced in October and are scheduled for November.      

If true, would suggest Wyman involvement.

Hey there Mel. Unfortunately my intel doesn't go that far or come from a band orientated source.

While I was not sworn to any confidentiality I hesitate to go in to too much detail for fear of revealing where the "leak" came from. Suffice it to say it was from some-one connected with the organization/logistics/promotion end of things.

I now wait with bated breathe to see what unfolds, not least for the sake of my own credibility.

Been mentioned a few times in the 'Big news' thread.

I dont believe there will be anything in Paris. They may rehearse there, however.

There will definitely be two shows in London at the 02 Arena.  I've had the dates confirmed by two different sources but I can't post them publicly  - however, they should take place in late November. However, they will not be taking place on consecutive nights or with just one night off in between as most people would assume would be the case.

The New York shows will probably be in December. Brooklyn's new Barclays Centre seems to be the likely location.  I havent been told the dates for those shows but the only free dates at that venue however are December 6th, 8th and 13th, so if they're playing there it'll probably be on two of those dates.

I've no idea what sort of ticketing arrangements or prices there will be. There's no paid membership arrangement on the band's official site anymore, which means that unless they bring such an arrangement in very soon, there'll be no fan club pre-sales.

I would imagine we'll hear something pretty soon as we're looking at concerts taking place within the next two months.

I would expect there to be some filming taking place at these shows and probably some guest slots.

Gazza, if you can keep me up to date with the London shows, especially the ticket arrangements that would be great. I have friends on stand by to try and get me tickets when and if they go on sale.....dont fancy my chances tho.

If they had any sense of deceny (lol) they would give the fans who paid their memberships for years the first crack.......geez somebody slap me please and wake me up

I dont expect to get much (if any) advance notice or warning of that compared to what everyone else will get, Rob. Obviously I'll post it on here - I'm sure there'll be a few days between an announcement and an on sale date.

Really hope its not next week though as I'll be on holiday!

I have mentioned this before...but with the NHL player lock-out...MSG should have MANY newly opened nights!!!
But the excitement of playing in a BRAND NEW arena does have its appeal
