Ronnie told Reuters last week they'd announce something regarding their future tour plans within a few days. Maybe this is just a rehash of that statement.

this goes along my idea, that they were pretending to not tour, to try to keep things on the down low in todays instant access... they always liked to have a surpise and keep things secret.... instead of hiding, they just lie!!!

I caught part of that, utv was mited, apparently the city has a sound ordinance and they went over, lights out instead of kist paying a fine? not sure the full deal....

If the Beach Boys can write and release a new album and tour for their 50th, the Stones can do no less.  I don't want "50 Licks". I want a brand new Stones album. I've listened to their entire catalog over and over and over and over again. It's time for something new.

I agree, but in fairness there hasnt been a Beach Boys album since about the mid 80s and they'd effectively split up for a decade or more ago prior to this year.

Its been a lot more frustrating for their 'hardcore' fans than it has been for us!

I hear ya Gazza.  I'm a Beach Boys fan as well. Brian Wilson has been writing like crazy for the past few years and continues to release new stuff/tweaked older stuff/etc.  I want to see the Stones do this up and trump everyone. Another compilation would deflate me - I want new recordings - I want that thrill of running home with a new Stones album under my arm again.

I'm waiting for Keith to talk about "Incoming" ideas.  I'm not interested in anymore of these books, movies, etc. I have a ton of them. I know what the band members look like.

I'm a few drinks in on my evening.  I really hope the Rolling Stones celebrate this in style. I was grooving out to some lascivious Stones tunes. They really are so good at what they do. I'm greedy-I want want want from this band. Their music has made me so happy over the years. They owe me nothing. If anything, I owe them a fucking album.
