It's moved several times since 1962 (the Marquee where they first performed was at 165 Oxford Street but the venue where they recorded the TV special in 1971 was in Soho's Wardour Street, where it had moved to in 1964)

Moved to Charing Cross Road in the late 80s and then out of the city centre to Islington in 2001 before closing in 2003. Re-opened in Leicester Square in 2004, moved again to Covent Garden 3 years later and then closed again in 2008.

Well it fooled me...I have been to the Wardour Street location a few times...even saw SFTD performed there once by the Thrashing Doves...in 86 I think
