The only thing that remotely interests me, personally, regarding the Stones is their music - whether its on record or in concert.

However, I have to accept that not everyone is as anal as I am about bootlegs, talking about their songs , band historyand that sort of stuff.  Each to their own, I suppose.

I do wish there would be more discussion of the sort of things you're referring to, though. Its understandable that there isnt so much as the band have effectively ceased to exist as an active unit for the last five years and the only things you're likely to read about them is a retrospective feature in a magazine like UNCUT or a bit of tabloid gossip about who Ronnie's poking these days.

However, at least we've been thrown a bit of a bone in recent months with a few archive releases - so there's actually been more Rolling Stones music released officially in a short period of time that maybe at any point in their career - certainly since the mid 60s' anyway.

I do wonder sometimes just how many regulars or semi-regulars actually buy these, as not that many people seem to deem them worthy of comment.

When theres no tour we get into the personal lives of the band just so we keep up on what they are doing besides the music, or lack of it.

Also, I started a couple of threads about the solo albums but nobody seems to like them very much so the discussions were minimal.

So yes, we are all here originally for the music, now were here to discuss anything Stones-related, and to stay in touch with the Stones Community in case of some breaking news of anything Stones-worthy.

And, if you dont like the other non-related threads, you just skip over them entirely.

We should only talk about Stones music (and other quality music).  And also drugs/alcohol - that should be mandatory posting, quotas, etc.  And maybe Mormons a bit, for levity of the sitch.  Like once a month, you have to admit or deny being sympathetic to Mormons, and if caught lying, being subject to some sort of discipline.

I still remember the old days before Wikipedia, All Music, etc in which the regulars used to ask questions and find immediate answers, now when the regulars have doubts they find answers on-line

I do remember the days with the “trees” trading music in Cassette Tapes and CDs, yes, when we started we used to trade tapes too as the transfer from a tape to a CD was almost impossible and losing fidelity
