Well, according to Rolling Stone Magazine there most likely was a definite reason they were rehearsing... (not to be an I told you so but I figured there had to be something to this).

1. To get their chops in order
2. Very possibly so they could perform a special show or two this year to celebrate their 50th.

*As well Keith has plenty written as a possible solo venture but he is willing to go forward and work with the material as Stones songs permitting that happens to fall in line. However, that, at the moment is still only an option at this point and the concept is for the most part "up in the air" as they say. After a possible special show or two this year a tour is also .."possible".. for next year according to Keith and sources. They may just do multiple shows in select cities in 2013 versus the standard tour as was once cited... As well, they are still not saying what their concrete plans are for this year and it looks like next year is still ..in-the-making with no definitive plan.

Your right, almost nothing is brand spanking new here.. well .. other than the fact that Daryl Jones was actually there at the rehearsals but had a short stay because as you noted he was scheduled to perform live at other places.


While hardly anything is new it does lend more credibility that they actually just might be planning on doing a show later this year and that Keith comes out this time and claims he is just fine now. The article is more of a confirmation piece of what had already been speculated and/or reported.

The good news is that much of our speculations are .."basically officially".. confirmed as being strong options on their table or perhaps even planned. We shall just have to see which ones pan out -

Yep a nice summary, nothing really new, except for the Taylor comments...didn't know he went to the "Office" (Stones' office I presume ?) on a regular basis, are they giving him royalty checks now? I didn't see anything about Keith having "plenty written", although since he's produced 2 songs in 15 years, you'd expect him to have a few ideas jotted down...

In this particular article Keith didn't make note of the quantity .. however I believe he stated he has lots of demo's when speaking of this material in another article and that they were "all for Jagger" if he wanted them. He then went onto say if Jagger "poo-poos" them he will take them else where. Good eye, though hehe. We shall see what happens, mate.

Wow that's bad, had he been drinking, how can he not be in a good enough shape to rehearse?! Does she mean he was feeling rusty?

and on the other Rolling Stone Mag article the guy said it was great...(course he is working with them so....)....If Keith really was bad in NJ..then there is little likelihood he will make it back to form....so then we can speculate on how it all ends....too much rumor at this point...and I have to ask with no offence intended but who is Little Queenie and her sources?

Well like anyone else. She won't tell who her sources are. She is as diehard a fan as they come and it wouldn't surprise me if she knows some poeple in the Stones camp. But you take it with a grain of salt (of the earth).

Little Queenie lives in Chicago, she doesnt live in NY or NJ and I know she wasnt there so its just what she heard, its all pure speculation.  By the way I know her in real life and she is quite nice, but she has no first hand knowledge on this.

So! Another thread on this topic! Really?? Do we really need endless speculation?? I am getting sick of it, all year long, one thread after another, what will they do, what are they doing, when are they doing it, etc. I dont even care to guess anymore, whatever they do, we'll know when they announce it and so lets just stop guessing because no matter how many ideas we throw out, it wont go down like we think it will. They will just do it, without our approval or consideration.
