ROCKS OFF - The Rolling Stones Message Board

Here's some exciting videos and pics of Mick T @ The Iridium Jazz Club in NYC last night, May 12, 2012. I went to both shows, got to meet Mick T between shows. He is a complete doll, sweet as sugar, kind, cute and shy. I was flirting with him, he hugged me, and he felt so good compared to Ronnie Wood, who I hugged recently and he was way too skinny. Mick T is awesome, I told him I loved him since I saw him at MSG in 1972. He was actually impressed, he said: You were there? I said yeah, and I was mad when you quit the Stones but I'm over it now. He said: Yeah, me too!" This proves he really did quit because he was mad about something, it wasnt about the drugs, I always knew that was bullshit. I asked him if he has a girlfriend, he said: No, I dont at this point, but I'm really shy, I started laughing, I'm not, anyway after the 2nd show there was a big line to meet Mick T and I had to go because it was time to catch the last bus back to NJ. The shows were fabulous, Mick T was getting alot of cheering and clapping and although normally he just stands there and never gets too flashy, he started to get into it more as the energy in the room was contagious. Mick T tapped into our energy and he was really, really good, fabulous, super-talented, sweet, wonderful, and sexy as hell. I love him! At the end of the show he gave me his guitar pick!

Yeah some of my friends paid extra for the VIP table so I got to sit right up front at the stage, easy to make eye contact. The place is small, only holds 225 so no matter where you sit its close to the stage. Looking forward to seeing Chatlie's gig there nrxt month! Mick T was so nice, I adore him! I didnt ask him about the current Stones, since we talked about him quitting and he's over it now. If the Stones did ask him to play an anniversary gig I'm sure he would say yes, because he has no hate for them, but clearly in his mand, he is no longer a Stone. Also, if the Stones got him to play a gig or 2, they would be damn lucky to have him and would benefit more than Mick T would. I get it now, he stands behind his decision to quit. I respect him for it, fvck Howard Stern, he has no clue about what Mick T is about. He has integrity and dignity. You cant put a price on that.

i was very impressed with his performances (first set = 25 min, 2nd set = 60 min)
The feed...sound was really good...the camera work was horrible...
it was done with joystick controls.

I know it is a jazz club, but the crowd seemed way lame and reserved...except some woman in the front row slamming down shots like they
were going to be outlawed at midnight.
The chat box was funny and it was nice to see folks on there who knew each other from here.
The opening band ( which was also half of MT's back up band) while talented, but played WAY too long.
A break in-between would have been more desirable.

Need to check out IRADIUM live more often...

Oh I love Mick T's playing, and I really wish he would realize just how special he is to so many of us. I dont think he knows how we idolize him. Seriously, he is playing occasional small club shows but if he had a better manager or promoter, I bet he could have a more successful solo career. He has the talent, no doubt!
