Yeah when that 1st Ramones album came out it was quite different then anything at the time, very fast 2-3 minute songs, some of the lyrics I recall were quite funny "Your a loud mouth Baby, going beat you up baby, your a loud mouth baby, etc"
I don't know if Lenny Kaye's (Patti Smith guitarist) album Nuggets came out before this or after, but I know all these punk bands were very influenced by Garage Bands in the 60's.
I liked Punk Rock, we needed something to get over Disco at the time.

The Ramones made the NYC Punk Rock scene really hard core. I hung out at the clubs back then, Debbie Harry (Blondie) is a Jersey girl and she was so cool and hip. Joey Ramone was almost scary, and thats saying something coz in NY there are some real badasses. Joey was at the king of the badasses, for sure. Talented and untouchable. He was at the top of the food chain. Eat me.

Yes I some what agree, but their "do" They got from me. I don't care about The great Society or the Walmart Crowd, they suck and are ignorant about good Music IMO, And I like it that way. :smilestu
