( " Brenda " ) ? Was it 1983 or 1984 ... ?! Additionally , at the Legendary Oak Creek Tavern ( Brewery & Grille ) there is fierce debate amongst all of the masses that Keith Richards initially called Mick ( " Sharon " ) and then later on changed his mind and began to use ( " Brenda " ) ...Is this true ? ............... there is a lot of money riding on this one so please discuss . http://www.oakcreekpub.com/brewpub/home.php " Hit Me Ronnie !!!! I imagine they've had endless jokey names for each other over the decades
The 'Brenda' name simply derived from Keith and/or Ron seeing a novel on sale by authoress Brenda Jagger. (Her first tome, Verity, was published in 1980). If memory serves me correctly, the novel was seen on sale in Paris. So, Joey - it could even have been late 1982. Or 1983, which was rather Paris-y, Stains-wise. I think it unlikely to have been 1984, although Keith did 'jet' to Paris in February 1984. I don't know of the Stains being together in Paris in 1984. So, it might even have been 1985. (The Stains were back in Paris in January 1985) but that feels later than I remember. Perhaps, just perhaps, it was in Amsterdam in late 1984. :nooslajaleisk Hope this helps at least a tiddly bit. If all else fails, could you not resort to a boozy brawl / fisticuffs? X Brenda_Jagger_-_A_Song_Twice_Over.jpg (Attachment deleted) |

Brenda? That is really rude and disrespectful!
My poor, cutie pie Micky! He never defends himself! Keith is always talking smack about him to the press! But, Micky never retaliates! He's a gentleman and has way too much class! |

Two more weeks Bono ................................ Just Two MORE !!!!! : ( Gonna Be Sweet ) http://www.esquire.com/features/robert-caro-0512-6 " The last chapter of The Passage of Power, the twenty-sixth chapter, is called "Long Enough." It is heartbreaking, foreshadowing the tragedy of Lyndon Johnson that is to come in the final book. Johnson, Caro has just shown us, was a heroic figure in the dark days after the Kennedy assassination. In the first seven weeks of his presidency, Johnson was the embodiment of courage and industry under unimaginable circumstances. The passage of the Civil Rights Act alone was an accomplishment of singular consequence. But his gifts wouldn't last. Soon, Johnson's worst impulses would overtake him — his insecurity, his terrible self-doubt. His greatness would be temporary. Now Caro reads over those final few pages one last time. His pencil doesn't much touch them. If he had held in check those forces within him, had conquered himself, for a while, he wasn't going to be able to do it for very long. But he had done it long enough. Robert Caro puts down his pencil. For now, this is the last line. " !!!! It's Coming ........................................... : !!!! |

An unearthed letter from the band’s manager during their 1976 European tour reveals they checked into hotels under the names of various personalities of the day to evade scandal hungry journalists. Mick Jagger was given the codename of tennis player Arthur Ashe, Ronnie Wood was the astronomer Patrick Moore, Charlie Watts is referred to as cricket commentator Peter West and Keith Richards was given the name of Gardeners’ World presenter Percy Thrower.
