I' m honestly not trying to be a smart arse here (and my above comment wasnt meant personally, believe me), but there must be hundreds of these things every week.
They're of no value or importance whatsoever.

Why its some kind of badge of honour to poll well in them or an embarrassment not to is beyond me. If we like something, do we need to have it validated by people we dont know (who are probably mostly idiots anyway) just to make ourselves feel better?

And to be honest, I thought Prince was the best half time Superbowl show anyway.....

The Stones would poll better in everything if a) they were dead or b) they'd broken up thirty years ago.

I'm happier that theyre still around than either of the above.

they had the same poll on ESPN..Bruce won and Stones second.....i'm still pissed when I was 13 that Petula Clark and Downtown beat out Satisfaction for #1 in Canada.......still not over that!!!!!!!!!!!

I was voting for Prince even before I saw Gazza's opinion; his show was virtually flawless, which unfortunately was not the case with the Stones.

I think I'd vote for Prince, Petty, or Paul.........but I remember really looking forward to The Stones performance.
I was bragging to all the locals around here about having just seen them.....prior to the actual 1/2 time show show. Madonna did fine recently.
If I vote....I'll let you know. I do agree with Gaza, I really don't care the final outcome, I know what I like.
And I'd rather the "Plastic Walmart Crowd Society" not agree! So let Michael win, I do not even remember when he did it. When he was on, I was getting something to eat or drink.
The only haft time performance I really remember is the three D one..or........Paul's, Price's, Petty's, The Stones, and Madonna's ( cause it just happened).
And Of Course the Wardrobe Malfunction one ..... with the Janet star.......yeah accident my :kissmyass
The first one with the cool Jet pack was cool.............Yes I remember that!

Of course. If its the Stones, it AUTOMATICALLY must mean that they were better than anything ever. Even without watching and listening to it objectively. Or something. ::)

The Stones didnt let themselves down. They put on a pretty good show. Dont think it was a performance to get excited over, though. As someone who thinks that rock bands should be nowhere near the Super Bowl, I've seen them perform better and I've seen other acts at that event perform better as well. They were much better than The Who though, who were fucking terrible. And I love The Who.

Oddly, Prince seems to be the majority vote of most people who have posted on this thread so far.

My Steelers won the Super Bowl that day...Bettis played his last game in his home town that day..and my Stones played at half time that day...me?....I was elegantly wasted the whole time........
