I agree, I never knew that Mick T. played without using a pick, maybe it's just on this video.

He's lost his finger-speed, but his note-choice and phrasing still can't be beat. His mind is so innately musical that he can compensate in ways that Keith and Ronnie can't.

If the opportunity to play with the Stones again ever arrives — let's hold out hope for a one-off, at least — MT is not going to be able to dilate for three minutes at at time. When he solos nowadays, it takes him one or two "mulligans" before he gets it right.

the band sounds like many local blues combos around chicago and I do not mean that in a good way.....Mick T's singing has hardly grown at all and I agreed with mel that his solos do not go great from start to finish any more....pretty weak compared to his best
