She was singing in a band in the Far East for over a year (China, Malaysia etc). Think she got back home a few weeks ago.

Yeah , I miss her as she was one of the original posters here along with Jb , the Lugar , Moonie , Nanky , Baby Steel Magnolia , FPM , Flynn , the ss and myself back in the late seventies .

One thing about Slave Girl she was always Minty Fresh and sure knew how to write a friggin post .

Hey guys! I'm still around, just haven't checked in for a while since getting a case of major no-Stones-tour depression, lol. As Gazza mentioned, I have been in Asia for the past year, singing in bands at 5-star hotels and clubs in China, Malaysia, and now Indonesia. I got a 6 month contract playing in the club at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, which is where I am now. I get to live and eat here for free, discounts on all the services, etc...I feel pretty spoiled! I was able to go home to California for the holidays too which was awesome, it was the first time I had been home in a year. Gazza gave me a heads up to this thread on facebook which totally brightened my day as I have been feeling a bit lonely, so thanks for cheering me up everybody! Thanks for the good wishes guys! Ellen, I do sing Stones out here! Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Women, and Jumpin Jack Flash have all been a fairly regular part of my repertoire. I also played Wild Horses and Angie all the time in a solo acoustic gig I had right before I left China. The Stones are popular in the parts of Asia I have been, more popular in Indonesia and Malaysia than in China. They love rock here in the deeper parts of south-east Asia. Of course everywhere you go in Asia you see folks wearing shirts with the tongue logo which is fun to see, even if they have no idea what it means, lol. So I see that there is a good possibility of a tour this year, which is the best news I have heard in a loooong time! Looks like my no-tour depression may come to an end soon, which is a good reason to come back to Rocks Off! Aside from the loneliness of being 8,000 miles from home!
