I've come to the conclusion that the secret to happiness lies in listening repeatedly to Octopus Garden.
Also, I think that John Lennon's solo discography has been massively underrated. Imagine (as fine as it is) isn't his only song, you assholes. Try Walls and Bridges, or Rock & Roll, or Mind Games. They're all filled with catchy tunes, that came from a privileged mind. Yes, he was violent and temperamental, but he was aware of it. Orson Welles used to beat up his women (not that there's anything good with that, of course), and apparently Chaplin and John Ford (as incredible as they were, in their work) were horrible people . To finish, we should all be horrible. PS: Macca still rules. And Lennon too. |
