Title: Body of Aussie Outlaw Ned Kelly found Post by KMC on Aug 31st, 2011 at 10:17pm
Who knew it was missing?
Plus, it was headless. Now we'll never know if he had a horrible beard like the one Mick grew for the movie! http://news.yahoo.com/body-infamous-aussie-bushranger-ned-kelly-found-010114531.html |

Its ironic that they can prove it's his body but 42 years on no one has still been able to prove that there was actually a script for that movie.... :stinkypost

Love some of the readers' comments below the article :
"Shame the head wasn't there so I could SKULL-FU'CK HIM" "Most Australians are descendants of criminals. It was a British penal colony. It's like as if Gitmo became a country." "No "Body" knows the trouble I've seen.. Australia!, a Irishman just cant get a"head" in that country.." "He probably looks better now than Mick Jagger" and... (from someone who is obviously an Aussie relative of Joey's) "I made this huge poop. But, the way it was layin' in the bowl, it split in two before I could take a picture of it." |

It was a British penal colony. It's like as if Gitmo became a country.
c.f. the southern states of the usa "I made this huge poop. But, the way it was layin' in the bowl, it split in two before I could take a picture of it." Ned's last shoot out wasn't at the Glenrowan Hotel it was the Brazen Head. Seriously 'tho Ned represents a split personality in terms of national identity: righteous outlaw or criminal thug? He was Irish afterall :wow and shot, arrested and hanged* by Irishmen * i.e. the hang man was Irish... the system that hanged him was, of course, English |

Interesting, I didn't know a remake was made of the movie in 2003, I thought when Ned Kelly came out it was great with Mick playing him, of course back then there was hardly anything around of the Stones or Mick not like today, to see one of his movies was great! now I don't think to much of it, I think "Performance" was the best he ever did.

Tony Robinson recently made a doco about the Kelly gang. It was rivetting viewing. The simple easy-to-explain statement that can be made about Ned was that he was a cop killer. of course, there are many sides to the story. The "Police" in those days were nothing like the modern forces. They were made of mostly illiterate Irish people, overseen by "born to rule" drunken English. I work for the cops, and things have certainly changed. The force is now made up by drunken Aussies! YAY for us!
The Kelly family were often victimised by the local Irish constabulary, who would visit Ned's mother's house whilst drunk and intimidate the family. His mother got locked up herself for some trumped up charge. One famous event is a drunken duffer tried to get a bit frisky with Ned's sister. Obviously, a very, very stupid thing to do! Ned was in da house! According to Tony Robinson's show, Ned's plan for his "stand" was to derail the train bringing dozens of cops up from Melbourne. Tough luck for him that some one ran down the tracks and alerted the driver before he reached the bend that would have ended all their lives. The sight of Ned making his stand in his armour was pretty much accurately depicted in Jagger's movie. Kelly was shot 28 times. The judge that sentenced Kelly to hang died just over a week later. So, our national heroes are a outlaw cop killer and a New Zealand race horse. Aint we bloody cool? |
