Title: A Crossfire Hurricane Post by KMC on Aug 26th, 2011 at 6:05am
Sitting here in New Jersey waiting for the hurricane. Can only stare at a weather map for so long.
Starting with the obvious - songs to do with a "hurricane." Jumpin' Jack Flash - Rolling Stones Hurricane - Keith Richards The Hurricane - Bob Dylan Like A Hurricane - Neil Young Rock You Like A Hurricane - The Scorpions |

Not that it matters...but the "Cross Fire Hurricane" is a reference to WW II and the cross fire battles across the Channel between the Brits and the Germans...let's hope you only get rained on!!
Be Safe!! |

Thanks Paranoid Android.
I have listened to this song about 8 zillion times since it originally came out and never made that connection. I knew the story about Keith's gardener being the inspiration, etc. and should have tied it in to all the times that Keith talks about how the Germans dropped bombs on his neighborhood. You learn something new every day! |
