Title: Moves Like Jagger Music Video is released!
Post by NeoConRonnie on Aug 9th, 2011 at 2:30am
Adam Levine of Maroon 5 says that Mick Jagger gave them his blessing and likes the song.
The music video is an homage to Jagger, with impersonators and actual Mick Jagger clips spliced in through out the video.

I personally love that they put the "Who the fuck is Mick Jagger" t shirt in the video... Keef!

Watch it here:

This was certainly different. And about time Mick got some notice after several Keith tribute songs. With a new song coming out I guess any publicity is good publicity.

Jagger was also was once mentioned in a song by Aussie group Skyhooks - "You Just Like Me Coz I'm Good In Bed." Mediocre song from the 70's - his verse is 3 mins. in to spare you. Can't believe it's posted on You Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrl7kODQ8kg

I didn't think the video could be worse than the song, but it is. Tributes to Mick are nice but not when it's utter crap.

There was a song in the early to mid 90's that referenced "Keith Richards' swagger" and "Lips like Mick Jagger." I can't think of who did it. Many rock references in that song.

It's just .....so lame and pathetic. Like why not get your own moves dude? But hey, maybe it'll make dancing like Mick popular and I won't look like a fool in clubs anymore.

I'm not going to bother watching it or listening to it.  I've been dancing like Mick since the late 80's. I don't need some goofus to tell me it's ok to do.  Mick is the coolest lead singer. Thanks!

Correct, you will not look like a fool anymore.

But you will be dancing w/ other fools who are dancing to that song.

I'm sorry to report I went back on my previous announcement. I watched 30 seconds of this. It's a fucking train wreck and I think Mick should sue because it's such a terrible fucking song and video. Whoever this guy is he needs to be beaten in the streets. There's no heart or soul in this, no god damn sex appeal. The song doesn't even sound cool. It's a waste of time.

That is surely oneof the worst songs ever recorded. It sounds like a cross between chavvy Primary school disco and My Darling Clementine. Got to be one of the most shameless "samples" ever. Add in the X-factor/Simon Cowell involvement and calling this awful sounds like a major compliment.

Amy dying, the riots and now this.

To be fair, Cowell has dominated the charts for years so she is just the next part of years of musical misery.

NOBODY in the world moves like JAGGER! It's a ass-kiss and much deserved tribute to MICK, and the song is catchy. Levine has a rockin' body too! The clips of young MICK throughout the video are oh so sweet! So IMO, it's good! I like it! Hell yeah, JAGGER's got the moves!

The video is so awful, it’s tragic. Mick is prancing around like the embarrassing dad at a wedding and his suit? Oh my goodness. He could pull this sort of thing off at one time, but not now.

Cheer up, you miserable beggars.
This is as camp as Christmas and with a fair deal of nipple.
Big Groovy Michael would be chuckling, shirley?

One must all hope for future tunes, in which euro-beat musicians will further celebrate 'Moods Like Jagger' (incorporating impersonations of MJ looking stroppy or more than a bit miserable); 'Beats Like Chuck Watts', 'Arse Like Ana Araujo', 'Record-Keeping Like Bill Perks' (with a video in which secretaries with steamed spectacles nibble of pencils as assorted artistes, to a totally gorge bassline, impersonate Wyman's' infrequent body moves and subtle facial expressions) and  :smilestu
'Blues Like Stew's'.

Fair enough, SP, but also... how about 'Teeth Like Keith' (in which semi-naked men and women with either crumbling or overly large capped teeth impersonate The Human Sniff)?

I think next up should be 'Pooves Like Jagger' (a re-mix complete with a video containing only the most mincing of Jagger impersonators). And then 'Hooves Like Shirley' (promoted by scenes of folk with taut tummies pose and gallop about like the lovely Mrs Watts' horses).

X

Yep, and it's number one BECAUSE it mentions the JAGGER name! Otherwise it's just another pop song. I wonder if MICK is getting royalties ~ my guess is YES since MICK put his stamp of approval on it! Smart move, and any publicity is good publicity, as they say.
