Title: Turn boardmates onto your iTunes top 5 played Post by Throwaway on Jun 26th, 2011 at 10:01am
Bob Dylan - Never Say Goodbye: Romantic, yes, but not cheesy. Play it for the one you love. Most on this forum will know this tune.
Alvin "Youngblood" Hart - Lawd I'm Just a Country Boy in this Great Big Freaky: Doug Sahm cover, played with conviction, makes you wanna 2 step. Black Crowes - Train Still Makes a Lonely Sound: Beautiful chorus, and the riffing sounds reminiscent of "You're So Rude" by the Faces, or anything Keith ever played thru a Fender Twin. Justin Townes Earle - Harlem River Blues: Sublime, and I gotta thank this board for introducing me. Well-produced. Darcie Miner - Bad Habits and You're Full of S**t: She's of the Kathleen Edwards ilk, but rocks out heavier than usual on this tune. Off of her most recent, Loneliness Anonymous. Bonus-Ryan Bingham - I Don't Know: Surprised this is so high, but its a really short tune, so easy to play a lot. Sounds like a demo, but its the talent of Ryan that allows him to throw out tunes like this so easily, the same way the boys did on the Woodstock Sessions. |

Glad you found Ryan and Justin, Throwaway! My iTunes library has been lost so many times that my top 5 is just from the last year or two.
1. Happy Birthday, Guadalupe!- the Killers (I played this all of December as it was a Xmas release) 2, They've Trapped Us Boys- Jakob Dylan ( you can tell when I like a song I play it a lot-LOL) 3. Distraction #74 -The Avett Brothers (If you haven't given them a listen check them out on youtube- outstanding !!!) 4. Island on the Coast- Band of Horses 5. Half Light II(No Celebration) - Arcade Fire Amazingly the next 20 or so songs are all Arcade Fire or the Avett Brothers. No Oldsters in my top 25 except for Emmylou Harris..... ;) |

mine is interesting, albums are coming up... not just songs...
most played Social Distortions new album is covering all top 5 songs... fyi... My iTunes songs were all revamped about a year ago, so the times palyed only goes bakc that far... the next closest, is also an entire album, Jello Biafra Audacity of Hype... after those two it goes into single songs, but it's already into the top 25 or so at that point. Both these albums sayed in heavy rotation during my workouts this year... |
