I grew up once.....about 15 years ago. Didn't like it much. So, I went backwards... ;)

On a more serious note...I think it's wise to grow up before we have children and remain so until they are grown and have flown the nest. That way they get a childhood too.

Yeah, yeah.
SOMETIMES is the key word here, it's OK sometimes but not ALL of the time. Gotta keep the kid in you alive otherwise you shrivel up and die. |

Good point, Bitch. I am the responsible adult in the family...pay the bills, run the household. VERY responsible. But........I work in day care with 8-12 year old kids. Have done so for 15 years. So..... ;) I've been through it all with the kids---from Britney Spears to 'NSYNC and the Jonas' and now on to Bieber....I know what they like, what they play with, etc. So, at work I'm basically like an 11 year old boy... ;) Now, at home........well, in my "free" time, I listen to "old" music, watch "old" TV shows and movies, wear the SAME STYLES, basically, that I did in the 60's......so, I guess at home I'm like 16. :P I can be a grown-up when I need to be.....but it's nice to go back and be a kid too. 8-) I appreciate the little things a lot more now too!

one of the best rhetoric questions, ever.
you can be a responsible adult with a child like outlook for fun and adventure. one of my favorite lines in that song is the first one . "went out walking through the wood the other day, and the world was a carpet laid before me". such beautiful imagery. this line came to my mind while hiking the muir woods. |

The wise thing to do would be to grow up first and then to grow back down whenever your head starts bumping into door frames. But that's haaard!

It depends what you mean by the term growing up. Becoming more responsible is inevitable, thats part of life, and nothing to be afraid of. Just retain your passion, thats what s important.
