Title: Stones-Little Queenie-Dartford 1961. Post by Heart Of Stone on Jun 21st, 2011 at 5:36pm
There's a video on Youtube of The Stones doing Little Queenie, I guess when they were called Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys???? I think they used as a name, those that know more about it, like gazza, would have more knowledge about it.

I've got that "How Britain Got the Blues". I love those early recordings! Such incredible history...

I have the tracks on a bootleg - it's wonderful that these historically important recordings are available.
It's a misconception that these tracks were recorded in Dartford, though. They were recorded in the living-room of Dick Taylor's mothers house, which was in Bexleyheath, Kent. The town is just up the road, but facts are facts! :willya |

Wow! Thanks for drawing my attention to this LP. The first 4 tracks are presumably in Dick Taylor's gaff. Awesome stuff. The youtube link is down! Surely there wasn't home movie footage of the session was there?

No, it was a picture with the music, apparently the guy who had it got deleted, he had some Ed Sullivan Show video's, since it's Sofa that objected to it. |
