Ok. At the risk of sounding sacrilegious ;) I'm now realizing that Conaway. especially with his long hair in Taxi, reminded me somewhat of Keith. His rather angular features and his mouth.....he was pretty cool in that show.

I used to work {by phone, not in person} with Tony Danza's late mother. She sent some of us at the office the first 8x10 glossies that Tony had made, right before Taxi premiered. At the time, none of us had any idea that the show would go on to be a classic, and that Tony would have a long and profitable stint in the biz. :) She told us about the time that the limo showed up to take Tony to his first Tonight Show appearance. BTW, his real name is Iadanza...

He was Travolta's peer in the 1970s...he was great in Taxi...and how did it all come apart....fucking sad.

Don't we all make decisions in life. My wife and I were just talking about this, a good guy who got wrapped up in demons. Many artistic people tend to "lose themselves" with bad habits. Man, do you or have you ever been in the public spotlight?? Do you know how hard that is? Sure it must be glamorous at first, but if you're not the type of person who is narcissistic, it is hell on earth.

You go to buy some milk, gas, a burger, take a piss...and it's "Hey Booby Wheeler, what's up dude??" It must suck, drugs ease that pain, I'm not saying it's right, but it's the only place one seems to go to feel comfortable.

It is very sad when anyone we don't know, but know, seems to go down the path he is. I pray he makes a miraculous recovery, I also pray that his soul goes where it's destined.

I think calling him a waster is a bit harsh. Unless you're Mother Teresa...especially considering what board we are on. Then aren't we and The Stones all fuckin' wasters?

Awful news :( I used to have a major crush with him and yes, I always thought his resemblance to Keith was unbelievable.

Is it possible to take 54 oxy's a day???? If I take 2 oxycodone which I believe is not as strong as oxycontin, I'm wiped out. I knew that girl was trouble, how do we know she didn't spike a drink of his that night?

they have to do it in many cases in icu to keep people from dying... it does work often...

Really sad news. :( He was only a couple of years older than I am. Sad to think that his addiction problems troubled him for so long. I'm sure that even if that wasn't the direct cause of his death, his compromised health as a result of years of struggling finally let his body down...:(
