Paul McCartney engaged to Nancy Shevell

Paul McCartney is ready to tie the knot with girlfriend Nancy Shevell. The couple, who have been dating for four years, are now engaged, a rep for McCartney tells CNN.

According to People, McCartney, 68, first began romancing Shevell, 51, during a summer in the Hamptons in 2007. A source tells the magazine that the two are made for each other.

"They have the right chemistry," the source said. "They're both cool, chilled out and optimistic."

This trip down the aisle will be McCartney's third.

At least she won't be after his money.... ;)

They seem to be suited to each other. And Sir Paul's 5 kids approve! So, here's hoping.... :)

Paul sure does seem to be the marrying kind. But congrats to him and the future Mrs Macca. :booze

Paul's been on the Stern show a few times over the past 5 years.  He's said he enjoys being married.

In late 1969, tired of the endless infighting within the Beatles, Paul McCartney took a four-track recorder to his English home and began work on his first solo album – playing every single instrument. The Beatles broke up by the time it hit shelves, but McCartney's solo career was off to a strong start as "Maybe I'm Amazed" turned into a huge radio smash despite his questionable decision not to release it as a single. Ten years later McCartney found himself in a similar situation. Wings were on the verge of splitting up and he decided it was time for a sequel to his solo debut. This time around, McCartney embraced the music of the era and the result was significantly more experimental. It landed another hit on the charts with "Coming  Up." Both discs were re-releaed in super deluxe packages earlier this month.

Good luck with that one! She owns a huge private mansion on Long Island, enjoys private Country Clubs, High Society and living the good life. I hope Paul fits in with that lifestyle, but someohow I dont see Paul being all about the money. He lived a relatively simple life with Linda and raising their children.
