I was listening to Howard Stern this morning...and almost at the very start of the show he starts talking about the new(?) book by
Annie Leibovitz. He continued to talk about her job at RS magazine and how she left to photograph THE ROLLING STONES for an entire tour.
Stern has found photography as his new hobby, so he was really into the book, especially about touring with the Stones.
He remarked on various famous shots of the Stones, ( Jagger in the elevator w/ the robe and towels, etc...) It was a real enjoyable part of the show today.

QQQ...what tour was this and is there a collection of all these pictures in book form?
Can anyone shed some more info on this and other stories about AL and the Stones?

Have you tried Google? Several listings there for Annie Leibovitz. Her work is well known.

Are you talking about the pic she took of Mick Jagger, in Buffalo, 1975 ?

Hey, PA-- The book is called "The Rolling Stones On Tour", published in 1978, but documenting the 1975 tour. Annie traveled with the band. You can sometimes find it for sale, but it's usually expensive.

I bought this book at a garage sale for around 8 bucks! It was quite a steal. I know it was listed on Ebay a few months ago. I believe it ended up selling for over $100. The pictures in it are awesome though.
