Thanks for your kind words. You make me feel welcome. Yes, saw Brian on stage. Alas, just one time. Two years later in october 1969, I just turned 17, I met Alexis Korner and we had some conversation about Brian (As you all know, Alexis had visited Brian after he was kicked out of the Stones) and about guitars. (guitarplayer I am) That was at a big three days festival in Europe. Alexis was "mentoring" Free back then and he introduced me to the band. The original Fleetwood Mac were on the bill too. So there was some great guitarplaying going on. Believe it or not - my hero at that festival neither was Peter Green nor Paul Kossoff. Jeremy Spencer it was. He had that Elmore James thing going on (from fading memory I guess he played a Gibson ES 175) and played a fantastic Rock 'n' Roll piano. During Mac's set I sat on stage beside Jeremy's piano. Those were the days! |

Hi Philgood, nice to see someboy (about) my age. Looks like you too have great memories about the beginning in the early sixties. (I've been around for a long long time) and I still feel priviliged that I was around at that time. Those were the days! Just curious Gaza, would it be possible to generate a list of members sorted by age??

No - as there's no mechanism for doing it and you dont need to state your age upon registering. Voodoo is however the oldest person here, although I believe that, following a transplant mix up some years ago, Joey was given the bowels of a 120-year old camel. |

Because of technological advancements, Jeremy sounded more like Elmore than Elmore himself. Welcome . . . |

Took some time to look for one of my old pics. Sorry, I remembered them in a better quality.
It was a cheap and simple camera I had. |

When the above very talented gentleman passes away, I often wondered, by carefully searching through his beard, if we would finally find Jimmy Hoffa. [smiley=bath.gif]

Not one of my favorites. Not really. Loved the Brian era stuff, especially the old R&B and Blues covers and the hit-singles of course. Begger's, Lei it bleed, Exile and Sticky - accompanied by Ya-Yas - are the best they ever did I think. Just my 2 cts. |
