What's with Mick's hair colour? It looks really unnatural - a bit like Macca's :( He needs to re-think the dye-job. Could it possibly be the right moment to admit defeat and finally show those grey hairs? Keith looks so much better since he ditched the dye.

I think it is the same source - yeah. There was a link to a Portuguese TV interview with Chris on facebook last night which I haven't had a chance to watch yet - maybe it was Riffbuk who interviewed him, I'd need to check.

Whether he actually said it's a new 'album' though, I'm not sure. They have done some work together a couple of years back which remains unreleased.

Mick Jagger ‘enjoys quiet hotel stay’

Sir Mick Jagger stunned staff at an upmarket hotel as he was so quiet throughout his stay.

The Rolling Stones rocker is famed for the lavish parties he threw during his heyday, which sometimes saw police called to them. He recently stayed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, but was adamant he wanted a room which was free from sound. He eventually agreed to stay in the Presidential Suite, but shocked workers as he was so well-behaved.

“[He] made it quite clear that he demanded absolute quiet – and we never heard a peep out of him. No loud music, no wild parties... nothing!” a source told National Enquirer.

Mick was so keen to have a tranquil break he even asked to be moved when workman began making noise near his room. He eventually settled in a bungalow in the establishment’s garden, where he managed to get a good rest.

Mick’s hotel etiquette has been revealed in the past. Several years ago it was reported the star asks for all windows in the rooms he stays in to be blacked out, so he can sleep.

“Apparently he doesn't like to be woken up by natural light so we had to go and find some tape to make sure it was dark,” a source said.

..and as usual its a lot of hysteria over nothing... 'Mick recording in LA with Dave Stewart' gets misreported and recycled as 'Mick making a solo album with Dave Stewart'.

Lots of chatter and gossip on the web over the last week about Mick Jagger working with Dave Stewart on his latest solo album has been denied by Dave Stewart. Dave says “I’m not producing a solo album with Mick gossip is wrong as usual”

British music legend Mick Jagger was reportedly working hard on a new solo album with pal producer Dave Stewart formerly from Eurythmics.
Speaking to a Portuguese TV station, Mick’s younger brother Chris revealed the rolling stone is busy recording new material in Los Angeles.

“He’s doing a record at the moment in Los Angeles with Dave Stewart. He called me last night telling me what he was doing.” Chris mentioned in the interview.

Talk is cheap, somehow I find Mick's brother's comment more believable than that boilerplate comment. Maybe not "technically" a solo album? A project like Alfie? That was pretty much a solo album with guests.
