Title: Victim of Aussie weather!
Post by corgi37 on Feb 6th, 2011 at 5:48am
Boiling fucking hot. Then torrential rains. My garage flooded on Friday. Water bloody everywhere. My drums got wet, but should be ok. Guitars mostly on stands, except my SG. Water was lapping at the strap lock. I think it should be ok. I am pretty sure its not water damaged. On the bright side, it's only a Epiphone.

But all leads and about a grands worth of pedals are saturated. Hoping insurance will cover it.

And my amp got wet too. Ok, its a crappy 25w DEAN combo, but its all i have. Looking at a Fender Frontman 65w. Deathgod got a new beauty of a an amp, but i dont want to spend that much.

I am due for some upgrades! Metal Zone 2 for sure i will get, as also the Boss power supply. I got a el-cheapo Phaser that i dont really need and my Zoom multi-FX i can replace with a much improved version (with expression pedal!).

Luckily, my new Tele STILL hasnt been delivered. 9 weeks and counting!

Anyway, i'm calling the insurance guy tomorrow. If i get a new ceiling & say $1,000 for pedals, i'll be happy. All going well, i can get them in the U.S. next month!

Sorry to hear, Corgi.

I live in a flood zone as well, so I know something about what you're going through.

I don't know how insurance works down under, but over here most companies do everything they can to lowball claims.
Don't be afraid to fight if you're thinking you're not getting just compensation.

Floods are nasty-- Keep cleanin
[Poland had flooding too},

the snow melted too quickly on the hills
and flooded the creeks---what a mess, mud everywhere 1980
then it happened again

Frigid here--frostbite weather.

All is cool. Other people worse off than me & my pissy old garage. Looks like i will get the ceiling fixed so thats good. Dunno about the replacement pedals yet. Fingers crossed. Got my mind set on a new Zoom multi fx. Assessor yet to arrive due to all the other much more important cases.

But, on the bright side, my Tele finally arrived today! Hope to pick it up tomorrow.
