I completely understand this explanation and thinks it something I would probably have done but not told anyone.

Just like in the interview on the Exile dvd, again I see Keith having a normal serious conversation. I really think he's trying to live a healthier life. Good for him.

Hah ... koo-koo Keith. He's somethin.

I do not think the reason there is recently a slightly more serious side to him because he is off drugs completely (supposedly no dabbling every here and again anymore) but because first, he just finished a book on his life....  Keith may of been a the ultimate abuser as far as substance and his body is concerned but he is no dummy when it comes to public image or how the press works. He is quite savvy to all of this contrary to what many feel. I think right now he wants to be seen as more "serious" an artist/person than the many who will instantly flee to the book to say what a crazy party animal he is and nothing more. He wants to be seen with a bit more substance in addition to all that right now. As well, I think the past few years of his wife being really sick and in danger of losing her life gave him a more slightly  serious outward perspective. Sure he is still Keith ....blunt, witty, and kinda kooky in his own way but now there is a serious underlay to it all now it seems. I think the two aforementioned reasons are why he has a bit of this gist right now.

That is my take anyway..

"Normal...."    If some sort of English weren't my first language, I'd have a hell of a time understanding more than 55% of what he says!  

I saw it on teevee during my weekly bacon-frying time and thought it was ultra cool that Keith likes gardening!
