One my first friends and by far one of the best passed away

I'm really sad

Gerry Seda ran the one and only Brian Jones - Like a Rollin' Stone message board, also the oldest message board on the net

Her son Anthony posted a message in the old message board so you can share your words here or there

Hello all,

I am Gerry's son, Anthony. It is with a sad and heavy heart that I'm coming on to this forum to inform you of Gerry's passing. She died in hospice care at Buffalo General Hospital peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 17th, 2010. I know that this board and it's subject matter were a passion of hers. She will be dearly missed by me and her brother and I'm certain by you all as well.

I have heard her mention Pam Braley's name several times as helping moderate things here when she was having difficult health issues in the past. I think it is only right that this board continue on in her memory, the same way you all continue on the memory of Brian Jones. Pam, I hope you don't mind continuing on as official moderator of the board. I know she was pleased with the job you did while she was away.

Anyway, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I also win the award for worst first post ever. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers and play a RS song in her memory.

She has been in the Rocks Off main page since I created that collage, see how cool she looks there, she selected her place, in her own words she told me "Can I get to be near Brian in the pic or isn't that possible??"

I didnt know Gerry that well but she always seemed a very nice lady, who did a lot of great work for the Stones fan community despite being in poor health in recent years.

I'm still reeling from this sad, sad news....:(

Gerry was really and truly Brian's "champion", and we all appreciated all she did for us. What a sad loss....:( My heart goes out to her family and friends, and my prayers as well.
