I saw him 7/26/70 in Seattle - right in front of the stage. It was festival seating so there were no rows. It was beautiful and so was he. I couldn't believe less than 2 months later he was gone. He was here only on loan.

Ronnie did a excellent portrait, Hendrix was one of a kind, he put so much feeling/expression in his guitar playing.

I was in college. First year. Just arrived probably a week before. I was shell-shocked. :( And then, on Oct. 4, it was Joplin and I was just left speechless. :-[ :'(
