http://www.thisdayinrock.com/index.php/general/1963-mick-jagger-and-keith-richards-meet-singer-gene-pitney-at-a-taping/

Jagger/Richards give one of their first songs to Gene Pitney.

He and Phil Spector help out on their first album. Sings the outtake "Andrew's Blues."

Andrew Oldham tries pairing Pitney up with Brian Jones to co-write songs. Unsuccessful.

Picture is of Stones with Pitney seated and Spector on the left.

And on THIS day 20 years ago - August 25, 1990 - Bill Wyman played his final show as a Stone, at the Steel Wheels finale at Wembley Stadium.

I was there.

Now has anyone got that photo handy from that show of him playing bass while sitting on Matt Clifford's shoulders? (Keith was singing 'Before They Make Me Run' at the time and didn't even notice them, even though they were just a few feet to his left)

Would make a nice header pic.

I have that one but at home, it's the one from the 1989-1990 Tour, and yes it'll be a nice header, I have that one at home so it will be the header tomorrow, now we have a couple of one-day delay headers, see today's LOL

Yes. Its in the "Images of the 1989-90 Tour" book, or whatever its called. There's no photo credit regarding the date it was taken, but its during 'Before they make me run' from the final show at Wembley.
